Our Top 5 Picks for Fall in Montana

While summer is sticking around for a bit longer here in Montana, we can feel fall in the air especially during our crisp mornings and cool evenings along the Rocky Mountain Front. And while summer is the busiest time of year in Montana, the locals will tell you that September and October are two of the most beautiful times of year in Big Sky Country. Fall colors start changing, wildlife are moving and there's a different feeling in the air.

To help make the most of fall, we've rounded up our top 5 picks from Latigo & Lace. Give them a peek below...

1. Ree Drummond Cookbooks

Truth be told, we've got amazing women (and men) who whip up hearty ranch-inspired meals throughout the Augusta area. And we have it on good authority that the Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond is one of their go-to favorites for recipes, meal inspirations and more. Here at Latigo, we've got a handful of her cookbooks that have us wanting to head home, open up a cookbook and make a meal worthy of fall.

2. Wild Rags

We're head over heels for wild rags, especially as these days they come in cute patterns (like the one below that has perfect colors for fall). These are a great additional to any fall outfit, whether you're out working cows or want to add a little pop of color for a night out on the town. An added bonus: wild rags offer incredible protection from sun, wind and dirt.

3. Coffee, Chai and Hot Tea at the L&L Cappuccino Bar

A longtime staple in Latigo & Lace is our cappuccino bar. And while we serve up a variety of drinks all year (we're always happy to make you an Italian soda no matter the season), our cozy fall favorites include lattes, chai and hot chocolate.

4. Montana Mugs.

If you ask us, fall is the time of year when we want to buy ALL the new coffee mugs. And these made-in-Montana mugs are the perfect addition to any collection. In addition to these gray-colored coffee cups, we have a variety of other options, including ones from Augusta's own Cathy Dombrovske.

5. Handmade Hats and Scarves

Fall was made for layering and we work with local Montana makers to carry handmade hats, scarves, gloves and headbands in Latigo & Lace, all of which are perfect transitional pieces as we move into fall and winter. This set is one of our favorites, since it combines all the colors we associate with our Montana. You can also peruse other pieces for fall here (we'll be adding additional items later this month; be sure to keep checking back).
