5 Things to Make Being at Home More Comfortable

With the current state of affairs, we're all spending more time at home. And with the directive from Montana's governor last week, our physical storefront is closed and we've been passing the days hunkered down at home, working on the ranch, calving and soaking up lots of family time. Chances are that many of you are working from home, helping your kids with homework and making memories in a world that is currently slowing down and allowing us to focus on what's important.

To help pass the time, here are five things to make being safe at home more comfortable.

1. A Good Book

Even in the best of times, books serve as a momentary escape. Plus, they let you travel and dream without ever having to leave your home. From classics to cookbooks and children's books, our online store has a variety of options to choose from. Some of our favorites: A River Runs Through ItB is for Big Sky Country: A Montana AlphabetBirds of Montana Field Guide (perfect for spring and summer bird watching) and Under the Biggest Sky of All.

You can see the full list of books available online here

2. Wild Rags

With the coming spring and summer, wild rags are a perfect addition to your wardrobe. If you ask us, they're pretty and add joy to any outfit, which we're all about these days (even if that outfit is pajamas). They're also great for protecting you from sun, wind and dirt. We have them in turquoise/burnt orangeblue/pink and blue/white combos.

3. Stuffed Animals, Galore

If you have kids in your life, they're likely needing a little pick me up or something to brighten their days of staying at home. We have a variety of cute stuffed animals -- including horsesdogsdeer and pigs -- that are sure to bring a little loving to the little love in your life. You can check out more more from our kids corner here.

4. Chapstick

While we're all being asked to stay at home and only go out for essentials, we also know that Montana's ever-changing weather is not for the faint of heart and you need a lip balm, especially if you're out in nature. Our Hurraw! balm is made in Whitefish, Montana and is some of the best chapstick we've found. It comes in a variety of flavors, including chai spicevanillacinnamonblack cherry and mint. You can grab any personal care items here and we'll ship them right to you.

5. Wool Wax Creme

Between Montana's dry climate and the continual hand washing we're all doing, we've noticed that our hands our drier than ever. While there are lots of lotions out there, our favorite is wool wax creme. It's also made in Montana, which makes us love it even more. Shop now

For now, while we're apart, we hope you take good care, enjoy your time being safe at home and soak up the everyday moments. Sending you virtual hugs and love from Augusta, Montana.
